Recently, INSTORE Magazine recognized us as "America's Coolest Store 2024," an award that inspires immense pride among our entire team here in Meridian. This award recognizes not only our beautiful boutique but also the passion, dedication, and multi-generational journey that has shaped Copper Canary.
For us, jewelry is more than just adornment—it's a legacy. As a fifth-generation jeweler, our co-owner, Allie DeSeelhorst, has poured her heart and soul into creating a space that honors the rich history of fine jewelry while embracing a modern and welcoming spirit. This award acknowledges the unique blend we've cultivated, drawing inspiration from generations of expertise that began with Allie's great-great-grandfather in 1885.
Our journey to Meridian and the creation of our stunning 7,300-square-foot space have been a labor of love. We envisioned a boutique that not only showcased our exceptional collection of antique jewelry – the largest in Idaho! – but also offered a truly unique and inviting experience. Collaborating with the talented Gabriella Winters, we transformed what was once a Chinese buffet into a haven of sparkle and style, blending European elegance with the warm spirit of our Idaho home.
What sets us apart is our commitment to the story behind each piece of jewelry. From carefully curating our antique collections spanning centuries to the joy we find in custom work or restoration, every facet of Copper Canary is infused with a deep appreciation for craftsmanship and history.
This award also spotlights our incredible team (including our "Security Pawfficer," Finley!) and their dedication to creating a comfortable and unpretentious atmosphere, which is the heart of the Copper Canary experience. We want everyone who walks through our doors to feel like family.
